Week 14 – In Perfect Harmony

This week our assignment for the Master Key Mastermind Alliance (MKMMA) was to read Part 14 of The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel. This section taught us about the relationship between the subconscious and conscious mind – the subconscious mind is responsive to the will of the conscious mind. Everything is produced by thought and can be deleted by thought.

The subconscious mind is one with the Universal Mind. We have the power to control our conscious thoughts which the subconscious mind will then put into action. Therefore this connection puts us in touch with the Omnipotent Universal Mind. Wow, that’s a lot to think about!

All the electrons in our body combine into cells, which operate on autopilot to perform their necessary functions, although they’re also responsive to the thoughts of the individual. Our thoughts not only have the power to control our physical health, but also the conditions of our life. To quote Haanel, “Your world without will be a reflection of your world within.”

Therefore, is it not vitally important to learn how to think constructively and deliberately about all the positive conditions we want in our life? The discipline required to do this successfully is extreme; it requires clear, steady, fixed and unflinching attention to keep what you want in your mind’s eye and not let anyone or anything allow you to lose focus. This includes your own self-sabotaging behaviors.

A harmonious life requires harmonious thinking. As I meditate on this concept, I think of all the electrons in my body working in perfect harmony to continue to move me forward to meet my Definite Major Purpose (DMP).

When you’re part of the MKMMA, you feel supported by others on the same journey, much like being in a group fitness class. Instead of working on our abs and triceps, we’re all working on keeping our thinking positive and focused on our respective DMP’s. Anyone embarking on this Hero’s Journey wants their individual electrons to be in perfect harmony, but they also want and need the support of like-minded individuals who  are in harmony with their efforts to strengthen themselves spiritually.  I know from experience that I cannot successfully complete The Master Key System journey alone, and I’m very grateful for my fellow travelers.

  2. Beautiful! I was touched by this thought in particular – “Anyone embarking on this Hero’s Journey wants their individual electrons to be in perfect harmony, but they also want and need the support of like-minded individuals who are in harmony with their efforts to strengthen themselves spiritually.” This will be on my gratitude card tonight!
